Latest Updates

June 2024: If you are planning to attend the wedding, you most likely have heard from us regarding hotel details and we’ll be in touch with next steps. Please contact us directly (not the hotel) about any accommodation questions as we are managing the hotel blocks with the planners. Lastly, if you are planning to attend and haven’t let us know, please do!

Travel

Booking with Cash

Booking earlier rather than later is always best with overseas flights. Inter-Europe flights are not as crucial. If you are paying by cash, we recommend setting up a Google flight alert when you decide your agenda.

If you are not the type to book early, usually 4-5 months prior will again give you best prices. Mind you, this is considered “off-peak” so unless there is some event going on we are not aware of at this time, there will be seats available.

If you are booking with cash, and planning to fly economy or premium economy class, Iberia has excellent prices and release tickets on their app only 360 days in advance. (Heads up - a little bit of a wonky app and website)

In order to get to Mallorca, please plan to fly into the Palma de Mallorca airport (PMI)

Booking with Points

Iberia wins with points bookings (~17,000-20,000 points for one way economy) but they release a limited number of seats. You can create an Aviosplus account on the Iberia website. It takes 1-2 weeks for your account to be activated. Additional options in this article and flights can also be booked using the British Airways Avios program on BA site.

Both American Express Membership rewards and Chase Ultimate rewards transfer 1:1 to Iberia (unless either run a transfer bonus; happens occasionally). As with all points transfers, but especially Iberia, do not transfer until a) you know your account is activated and you can log in b) there are award seats available. Same scenario with British Airways.

Connecting & Stopover Flights

If you are flying directly to the event, you have a choice of booking with a connection on the same reservation or booking a positioning flight to elsewhere in Europe and then booking an inexpensive flight to Palma. If you are traveling before or after event, check out this link for stopover options, and see below.

Additionally, if you are transferring through Madrid, make note that the international and inter-Europe terminals are far away so give yourself enough time to make it to your connecting flight! Note: Madrid customs has a special line for short connections. It is located to the right of the regular line. Also, take the elevators and not the escalators after clearing security.
